GLADWYNE, PA - On Thursday, March 15 at Philadelphia Country Club the Pennsylvania Golf Association held a special meeting to amend its by-laws. The amendment allows individual residents of Pennsylvania to become members of the Association. Previously, the Pennsylvania Golf Association's membership was solely comprised of organized golf clubs. This change in by-laws creates an opportunity for golf enthusiasts throughout Pennsylvania to participate in state championships, but most importantly it gives people an avenue to support golf throughout the Commonwealth.

Individual Membership Levels:
All membership levels are eligible for competitions and will receive a PGA bag tag, 2006-07 Rules of Golf Book, PGA Year in Review and a PGA Schedule Book.

q Member Level $40
q Featherie Level $100
q Gutta Percha Level $250
q Haskell Level $500
q Centenial Level $1000

The Pennsylvania Golf Association has created this new individual membership category to promote the interests of golf throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All membership dollars received above the Member Level will go toward supporting Junior Golf in Pennsylvania, Amateur Team competitions and the Association’s Centennial Celebration in 2009.

Contributions are NOT tax deductible for federal income tax purposes, as the Pennsylvania Golf Association is NOT currently recognized as a 501c3 charitable organization.
