Bent Creek-Lancaster Host Take Senior Team

  Andy Tompos, of Lititz, Pa., Alan Over, of Lancaster, Pa., Ronald Yarnell, of Lancaster Pa., and Bill Brenner, of York, Pa., won the Senior Team Championship on Tuesday at Regents' Glen Country Club with a score of one-over-par 430. The format was a best 3 balls of 4 over two days. The first round was held at Hanover Country Club on Monday.

  Finishing in second place was the "home team" from Hanover Country Club, Regents' Glen Country Club, and Bon Air Country Club. John Teel, of New Oxford, Pa., Bob Wotherspoon, of York, Pa., Brad Smith, of Camp Hill, Pa., and Scott Knouse, of Wrightsville, Pa., finished 3 shots back of the Champions, with a two day score of 433. Scott Knouse and Andy Tompos were the only players in the field to finish the event in the 140's, Knouse shot a 73-68 for a 141 total, and Tompos had 72-74 for a 146 total.

  The first place net award was won by a team from Rolling Green Golf Club and Sandy Run Country Club. Jim Callaghan, of West Chester, Pa., Amadeo Mascitti, of Drexel Hill, Pa., Bill Smith, of Oaks, Pa., and Fred Anderson, of West Chester, Pa., carded a two day score of 411 (203-208).
