Junior Championship Age increased to 18 years old:

  • The Pennsylvania Junior Boys’ and Girls’ Championship age requirement increased to 18 years old to follow the lead of USGA.  In anticipation of increased participation, the Association is implementing exemptions based on previous performance in the Junior Championship.  The top 30 boys and top 15 girls from the 2016 event will be exempt in 2017.  Entries will then be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  The Junior Championship field will be limited to 156 players, to include 39 girls and 117 boys.  A wait list will be established to accommodate any overflow in entries.

Super-Senior Division Updates:

  • The Championship Committee approved an adjusted breakdown of point distribution for the Super-Senior Player of the Year.  Please see point events HERE for the updated breakdown.

  • Super-Senior Match Play Championship field has been increased from 8 to 16 players.  Players will be seeded based on their finish in the previous year points list.  An optional stroke play round will be available on day two of the event for those competitors eliminated on day one.

Father & Son Championship Update:

  • Father & Son Junior and Senior divisions will now feature both players competing from the same forward tee.  This move will eliminate confusion and aid in pace of play along with increasing playability.  Teams may choose to play from the championship tees to compete for the overall title.  The 2017 Father & Son will be hosted by Omni Bedford Springs Resort on Monday-Tuesday, July 17-18.

Administrative Improvements:

  • The Association has approved that events which require mandatory cart use at the request of the host club will have the fee collected at registration.  Players will be notified of the charges during the registration payment process.  The cart fee of $35 will include use of practice facilities.

  • Please note the Association will no longer accept paper entries.  Please call the golf office at 610-687-2340 x19 with any questions or if you need assistance.
