Semi-finals are set for the R. Jay Sigel Match Play

Camp Hill, PA- The Semifinalists are set for the 20th R. Jay Sigel Match Play. 

Host club champion and Penn State sophomore Brady Davidson scored a 3 & 2 victory over Rutgers University’s Logan Paczewski in the morning and Blue Bell’s Daniel Oh in the afternoon to advance to day 3.

Karl Frisk, a rising junior at University of South Carolina-Aiken, had a 1-Up victory over Penn State’s William Pabst in the morning and a 2-up win over Colin Smith in the afternoon.

Mount St. Mary’s University’s Ben Smith beat Hershey Country Club’s Derek McGlaughlin 1-up in the morning and Moselem Spring’s Nick Vecellio 3 & 1 in the afternoon.

Ben Smith with play John Peters in the second semi-final match.  Duke University’s Peters, the 2021 PA Amateur Champion had a 3 & 2 victory over Applecross’s Samuel Feeney in the morning and a 1-up victory over 2023 PA Dressler Champion and Southpointe Country Club’s Tim Novic.

The semi-finals will begin at 8:00am Wednesday morning.  Brady Davidson will play Karl Frisk and Ben Smith will play John Peters.  The finals will follow on Wednesday afternoon.
