New in 2019, the Pennsylvania Golf Association introduced the inaugural Mixed Team Championship. As a result of the merger with the Pennsylvania State Women’s Golf Association, the Mixed Team Championship is geared toward giving men and women throughout the Commonwealth the opportunity to compete together in an enjoyable championship.
Chapman format: both players hit their drives on the tee, for the second shot player A hits player B’s ball and player B hits player A’s ball, for the third shot the players select which ball they would like to play and play alternately until the ball is holed.

The scoring will be Gross and Net Stableford scoring. Gross and net awards will be presented. Net competition will be based on a team combined handicap; 60% of lower handicap and 40% of higher handicap. The Course Handicap limit will be 36. There will be two divisions: Championship & Forward.
Championship Division yardages will be approximately 6500 for men; 5700 for women. Forward Division yardages will be approximately 6000 for men; 5000 for women.
Teams select their division during entry.

The Mixed Team Championship is open to teams of one male amateur golfer and one female amateur golfer who are both members of a club belonging to the Pennsylvania Golf Association or an Individual Member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Players need not be members of the same club.
At time of entry, one player from the side will complete the entire entry process. That player will need the partner’s GHIN number or User ID. If unsure of that information, please contact the golf office at 610-687-2340 x19.
Limited to 108 players (54 teams). Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on the entry closing date. Entry fee must accompany entry.
Players who have been accepted as participants in Pennsylvania Golf Association championships will receive event information concerning course assignment, practice rounds, pairings, and starting times approximately 10 days prior to the event. If you have not received your information seven days prior to the event, it is your responsibility to contact the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Information can also be found at

The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry blanks will determine pairings and tee times. Initial schedule calls for an afternoon shotgun for round one; morning shotgun for round two.
Carts are permitted and Mandatory at the request of the Host Club. Cart fee of $35/player/day to include use of practice facilities will be collected at time of entry.
Gross/Net prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each division.
In the event of a tie for for first place in the Championship gross division, a playoff will be held immediately following the conclusion of play. All other ties will be decided by USGA method.
Champions and Runners-Up will receive crystal awards.
