2025 Pennsylvania Mid-Amateur Qualifying Results

Qualifying for the Pennsylvania Golf Association’s (PAGA) 32^nd Middle-Amateur Championship concluded this week at four sites: an East Region Qualifier at Philmont Country Club, a West Region Qualifier at Southpointe Golf Club, a Northeast Region Qualifier at Fox Hill Country Club, and a Central Region Qualifier at Colonial Golf & Tennis Club.

The 2025 PAGA Middle-Amateur Championship is scheduled to take place on September 15-16 at Butler Country Club.

Tuesday’s East Region Qualifier at Philmont Country Club saw 22 players advance, led by Alexander Kim (Philadelphia Cricket Club), who was the only competitor under par with a one-under 69. He was two-under through the front nine and totaled three birdies (on holes No. 4, 9, and 14) on the day. Christopher Reedman (Makefield Highlands Golf Club) was the runner-up with an even-par 70, while Hayden Moffat (LuLu CC) was third at two-over and Thomas Ferguson (St. Davids GC) finished fourth at three-over.

The West Region Qualifier at Southpointe Golf Club, also on Tuesday, advanced 24 competitors. Tim Novic, a member at Southpointe, finished atop the leaderboard with a three-under 69 that featured five birdies—on holes No. 6, 89, 12, 15, and 16. Drew Deimel (Kahkwa Club) was just a single stroke behind with a two-under 70, and Chad Warmbein (Oakmont CC) finished third with an even-par 72. The top 5 was rounded out by Paul Ajak III and Jeffrey Varga (Wildwood GC) with two-over 74’s.

Nine players qualified from Wednesday’s Northeast Region Qualifier at Fox Hill, with a pair of golfers tied for the best round of the day: Tom Biscotti (Wyoming Valley CC) and Cody Cox (PAGA Individual Member) both fired an even-par 71 to pace the field. Fox Hill’s own Tyler McGarry just one stroke back with a one-over 72. A complete list of qualifiers from the Northeast Region can be found here:

21 total qualifiers advanced from Thursday’s Central Region Qualifier at Colonial Golf & Tennis Club, with Radley Run Country Club’s Sam Pancoast carding the only round under par (a two-under 70) to lead the field. Pancoast played a mistake-free front nine, with birdies on holes No. 2, 8, 11, and 15, with two late bogeys the only  blemish on his round.
