PAGA Residency Policy

Players must meet one of the two requirements to compete in PAGA Championships:

1.  Be a Member of a Member Club

a. For Non-Residents of Pennsylvania, “Member of a member club” must include golf privileges. (ie. Handicap only membership does not satisfy this requirement) 

2.  Be a Resident of Pennsylvania and join the Association in our individual membership class. 

 

A "Resident of Pennsylvania" is a person who maintains their legal place of residence in the state of Pennsylvania. To establish residency for the purpose of PAGA eligibility, an applicant must meet one of the following criteria in subsections a-d:

  1. Is a person who meets one of the following criteria: (1) holds a Pennsylvania Driver's License, (2) files their Federal Tax Return with a Pennsylvania home address, or (3) is registered to vote in Pennsylvania; or
  2. Is a student who physically attended a high school or college in Pennsylvania at any time during the four months before the date of the entry deadline; or
  3. Is a student who graduated from a Pennsylvania high school who attends an out-of-state college, but remains a legal dependent of a parent or guardian who meets the Pennsylvania residency requirement; or
  4. Is a member of the military who is based in Pennsylvania on active duty as of the date of the entry deadline.
