2026 Girls Junior Day 2 Recap

LEBANON, Pa. – Wildwood Golf Club’s Alyssa Zhang put on a dominant 36-hole display on Tuesday to make it a wire-to-wire victory by 12 strokes at the Pennsylvania Golf Association’s (PAGA) 63^rd Junior Girls’ Championship at Lebanon Country Club. The leader by just a single stroke after the first round, Zhang finished as the only player under par for the week and fired a mistake-free 68 (-4) in the second round, birdieing holes No. 1 and 9 with an eagle on 2. In the third round, she eagled 13 and added birdies on 2, 3, 6, and 8 to finish with a three-round total of 204 (67-68-69, -12). 

Zhang finished 19^th at last year’s Junior Girls’ Championship but with today’s win earns an automatic exemption into the U.S. Junior Girls’ Championship, held July 13-18 at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, N.C.

 Myra Tomer (Cobblestone Creek Country Club) and Madison Koshko (Centre Hills Country Club) finished the week tied for second place at even par with totals of 216. Koshko has now finished second in two consecutive PAGA Junior Girls’ Championships. Rounding out the top five finishers is Kayley Roberts (PAGA Individual Member) in fourth place at 219 (+3) and Nicolette Bottos (Rolling Green Golf Club) in fifth at 220 (+4).

 Next up on the PAGA schedule is the final 113^th Amateur Championship qualifier on July 2 at Philmont Country Club, followed by the 23^rd R. Jay Sigel Amateur Match Play Championship from July 6-8 at the Country Club of Scranton.
