Dunigan Leads Going to Day 3, Division Champions Crowned

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. – With two rounds complete at the Pennsylvania Golf Association’s (PAGA) 90^th Women’s Amateur Championship at Gulph Mills Golf Club, Mary Dunigan (Kennett Square Golf & Country Club) has opened up a five stroke lead after shooting a -2 (72) on Tuesday. She birdied four holes in the round (No. 5, 8, 10, and 18), only getting into trouble on 9 with a double bogey, and is -5 (143) for the tournament, five strokes ahead of the nearest competitor.

“Today was really solid and I hit a lot of greens,” said Dunigan. “I had a lot of opportunities for birdie and I didn’t make a ton of the short putts but I made some clutch par putts so it was a really good round.”

Dunigan was the PAGA Junior Girls’ Champion in 2022 and finished 11^th in the 2024 Amateur. She has the chance to pick up her second state title and a spot in the upcoming 126^th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship if she is able to hold on to win.

“It feels good to be in the lead but there’s lots of holes left to play,” said Dunigan. “I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing and see what happens. It would feel really awesome to win and qualify for the US Women’s Amateur. It’d be great to get that here.”

PAGA individual members Marissa Malosh and Kayley Roberts are tied for second place at even par (148) after two rounds. Malosh eagled holes No. 3 and 10 and added birdies on 1 and 6 while Roberts birdied four holes (3, 7, 10, and 11) in Tuesday’s rounds.

Kate Roberts (PAGA, Turtle Creek) has sole possession of fourth place at +1 (149) and behind her is a group of five players tied for sixth place at +2 (150) that includes Alexandra Engart (RiverCrest GC & Preserve), Nicolette Bottos (Rolling Green Golf Club), 2023 Amateur champ Rylie Heflin (Bidermann G.C.), first round co-leader and 2019/2022 Amateur champ Jackie Rogowicz (Merion Golf Club), and Michelle Cox (PAGA Individual Member.)

The other three divisions concluded play on Tuesday. In the Mid-Amateur Division (25+), DuPont Country Club’s Lauren Klick made it a wire-to-wire victory, shooting a +3 (77) in the final round that featured birdies on holes no. 3, 16, 18 to finish the week at +4 (152). Klick finished two strokes ahead of Katrin Wolfe (Northampton CC), who totaled +6 (154). Collecting a third-place finish was Honeybrook Golf Club’s Barbora Millichip (+10, 158), who was the 2025 Mid-Am runner-up.

The Senior Division (50+) featured an impressive performance from Stephenie Harris (Philadelphia Cricket Club), who fired a division best +4 (78) on Tuesday to win by seven strokes with her total of +10 (158). Behind her, a pair of players (Lawrence Park GC’s Steph Urban and Huntingdon Valley CC’s Maureen Koerwer) tied for second place with totals of +17 (165).

It came down to the wire in the Super-Senior Division (65+), with five-time PAGA Senior Amateur champion Lisa McGill (Sunnybrook GC) and Lisa Day (Honeybrook GC) tying for first place with two-day totals of +5 (153). McGill’s +2 (76) on Tuesday erased the two-stroke lead held by Day after Monday’s play and the two headed for a playoff – where McGill was able to birdie the hole to secure the first Super-Senior title of her career. Three-time Super-Senior champ Barb Pagana (Huntsville GC) finished in third place at +6 (77).
